The Application Process

3- week and 6-week Applications are Now Open!

How to Apply in Three Steps

Step One

Applying to a Tel Shimron Excavations 6-week or 3-week dig is simple. Your first step is to fill out the application by clicking the button above or below. You will be able to indicate on the application if you want to apply to the summer school credit program through Tel Aviv University.

At this time, we do not have a way for you to save progress on your application, so please start it when you have time to complete.

(Note: Academic credit is not available for the 1-week experience)

Step Two

Once your application is submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation message. Once approved (which typically takes up to 10 business days), you’ll receive an email linking you to our private Volunteer page where you can access instructions and additional travel information you will need.

Note: A $500 deposit is due on March 1, 2024. If you are applying after that date, the deposit is due within 7 days of your acceptance into the program.

Step Three

  • Submit your participation fee and travel-ready documentation (passport, flight info., etc.) by April 12, 2024.

  • Enroll for summer school credit through Tel Aviv University (optional).

  • Apply for scholarships if you are an undergraduate or graduate student who will receive academic credit for the dig (optional).
